Tree of Hope Volunteer

A Safe Place is seeking volunteers for the Annual Tree of Hope Fundraiser, taking place at the Sherwood Park Mall from November 17th to December 23rd, 2023.

This is an excellent chance to contribute to a meaningful cause. If you’re 18 years of age or older and capable of writing official tax receipts, we would be thrilled to welcome your assistance.

Strathcona Christmas Bureau is currently seeking volunteers to deliver hampers. The hamper deliveries will take place on Saturday, December 9.

South Cooking Lake Community League Kid’s Christmas Store Volunteer Elves

Location: South Cooking Lake Hall (#100, 22016 South Cooking Lake Road, South Cooking Lake, about 10 min east of Sherwood Park)

The South Cooking Lake Community League is looking for VOLUNTEER ELVES to help at the Kids Christmas Stores on Saturday, Dec 2, from 10 to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec 9, from 11 to 4 p.m. at the South Cooking Lake Hall (#100, 22016 South Cooking Lake Road, South Cooking Lake, about 10 min east of Sherwood Park).

The elves will help children shop for gifts for their loved ones and also help with wrapping and tagging the gifts they choose. Money raised will be donated to the Hope Mission. They are looking for volunteers aged 8 and up and they will have adult elves to help. Shifts are available and can be as long as you like. Usually, 2-3 hours works well.

A Night to Shine

Night to Shine Invitation

Night to Shine is an annual prom-night event held worldwide to celebrate people with disabilities who may not get to experience a traditional prom.
Night to Shine operates on a 1:1 volunteer-to-guest ratio and each honored guest will be paired with a companion for the evening if not coming with someone. About 200 volunteers will be needed to make this a night to shine.
