Volunteer Strathcona hosts quarterly Community of Practice meetings focusing on various volunteer – related topics and discussions.
Community of Practice meeting will be on Monday, May 12th from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Strathcona Community Centre in Meeting Room 2
Topic of Discussion: “Accessibility in Volunteer Programs” presented by Zachary Weeks, Passionate Edmontonian advocate for disability issues and social justice. We will explore ways of how we can improve accessibility for volunteer opportunities and settings.
Refreshments, coffee and cookies will be provided
These meetings are intended for all Strathcona County Volunteer Managers who are looking to connect with others in the community. All members of the Community of Practice gain access to our resource Google Share Drive, Meeting invitations and further resources.
So far, participants from 17 different community organizations have taken part in the Community of Practice and we are hoping to keep building the network.
