Coffee & Learn

  • Mondays (10:30 AM OR 1:30 PM) @ WeSeniors Strathcona
  • 1 volunteer needed per session
  • Duties include: setting-up and replenishing coffee/muffin station, assisting guests and collecting entry fees.
  • Need to arrive 15-30 minutes before session.

Active Aging Series

  • April 29th & May 13th (9:30 to 12:30)
  • 1-2 volunteers needed
  • Duties include: setting-up, ushering guests from main building to site
  • Must arrive 30 minutes before

Nibblefest

  • April 16th, May 9th & May 15th (11:00-3:00 PM) – Various locations
  • 2-3 volunteers needed
  • Duties include: serving food to guests, helping with set-up (includes break)
  • Transportation not provided

Alberta Senior’s Week

  • June 4th @ Agora 9:30-2:30 PM
  • 10+ volunteers needed (various areas)
  • Volunteers must arrive by 8:45 AM
  • Duties include: Greeting guests, managing 50/50 table, supervising information table, outdoor games, prize tables, BBQ and hospitality.

VOLUNTEERS needed to help make our community bloom!

The Strathcona in Bloom Society (SIB) endeavors to beautify Strathcona County and Sherwood Park through the efforts of volunteers and County staff. We encourage the efforts of private homeowners and businesses as they help with this work.

Do you enjoy gardening? Would you like to work with a group of like-minded folks who want to beautify the community? Do you have the time to plant and/or help maintain a flower bed in your neighborhood? Do you like coordinating the efforts of groups of volunteers?

Variety of Volunteer Opportunities available such as the following:

  • Help plant and maintain a community flower bed
  • Deliver nominations to neighbours as part of Front Yard Recognition
  • Become a Director on the Strathcona in Bloom Board
  • Deliver nominations to local businesses and non-profits as part of Public Spaces Recognition
  • Participate in special events like Arbor Day and Canada Day, and Pitch in

Saffron Centre – Consent Event

Saffron Centre is looking for volunteers to join the #ConsentEvent team and help create a fantastic runner experience. There is a variety of options both prior to race day and on race day for you to help support this event!

Positions range from stuffing swag bags, pre-event packet pickup, and race day volunteering including registration, course marshal, water or fruit station, set-up, and clean-up.

Thank you for being a part of making this event a huge success for runners, Saffron Centre, and survivors of sexual violence!
