Volunteer at Strathcona County’s Celebration of Lights

Celebration of Lights takes place on November 16, 2019, from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Activities include:

Strathcona County Recreation Parks and Culture

“Volunteers are needed for various events and positions throughout the year such as photographers, registrations, inflatable attractions, security, mascots and much more. Events include; Pitch in, Canada Day Festival, Celebrations of Lights, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day.”

 

Festival Place – Performing Arts Instructor Assistant

“We are currently looking for volunteer to assist with our recreation activities. Volunteer will help the main performing arts instructor with numerous drama, dance, musical theater and other performing arts. Volunteers should have some experience in the performing arts and enjoy working with children of all ages. Times and dates vary.”
Common Ground Community Cafe – Barista

“Our baristas will make cafe drinks, bake, and keep the Cafe running. Training is provided so no experience necessary! Shifts are on average 3 hours long and can be picked to suit your schedule. Please note that our volunteers must be available for the same shift at least every other week.”

Common Ground Community Cafe – Cleaning/Hospitality

“If you love making a space shine– we need you! Our Cafe is kept running by volunteers. We need people willing to help with our dishes, dusting, and things of that sort. Training is provided so no experience necessary! Shifts are on average 3 hours long and can be picked to suit your schedule. Strathcona County Special Olympics

“Volunteers and coaches needed to help athletes with an intellectual disability improve their sports specific skills and keep them focused on the sport. Volunteering can be as little as 2 hours per week. In addition to weekly practices, most sports have a couple of competitions each season. Sherwood Care – Communications Volunteer
