“My name is Bella Asiri and I am the new Program Development and Evaluation Coordinator for Volunteer Strathcona. I was born and raised in Kenya. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (Statistics major) and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
I have worked in the nonprofit sector over the last ten years with lots of experience in community engagement and evaluation. I am passionate about using my talents to make a difference in my community. I enjoy reading books, cooking, listening to music and watching movies. I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring and visiting new places. I speak four languages and in the process of learning the fifth- French!
My last position was with REACH Edmonton/ The North EDGE as their Edmonton Ambassador where I built meaningful relationships through making connections with businesses and community members. I volunteer to work with kids in my local church and Kids4Cameras. I am looking forward to serving the lovely people of Strathcona County through Volunteer Strathcona.”
“I am so pleased to welcome Bella as the newest member of the Volunteer Strathcona team. As Program Development and Evaluation Coordinator she will take the lead on evaluation of existing programs and will work with our program staff on the development of new initiatives.
